  • Pickling lines
  • Galvanizing lines
  • Rewinding and finishing lines

Description

KLW is a series of optical width gauges designed for applications on metal strips production lines.  The non-contact technology allows the continuous widht measurement at maximum production speed, avoiding frequent line stops for the manual controls which can be difficult and risky.

The high quality of the optical projection system with parallel light maximize the measurement accuracy even with material oscillations.

Gauge automation systems, including logic and devices for remote commands,  are available for the measuring unit movement from parking to measuring position in case of application of XLT gauges on automatic lines.

KLW series: a unique concept for different applications

  • Models KLW-100 are suitable for measurement of narrow strips.
  • For wide strips, models KLW-2000 have to be used.

The system KLW/Scan is suitable for complete scanning of a series of parallel strips.

Advantages of KLW optical gauges:

  • first of all, safety: non-contact and safe technology.
  • automatic measurements: to keep the operators far from the risks of accidents.
  • no marks on the material and no wear of the measuring gauge.
  • very easy field calibration without skilled personnel.
  • continuous measurement with automatic tolerance warning.
  • documentation and traceability of the measurements.
